Much of Yinjie Sun’s work is strongly influenced by his life in China, by religion, poetry, and opera. In his opinion, art is elevated and his artworks should represent the aesthetic and philosophic value of art. His finished works are vivid and emotive. He inherits traditional skills from old masters’ paintings; and at the same time he integrates a lot of new painting techniques into his works. This gives him the ability to inject a great deal of passion and emotion into works, depicting current day life which is rarely found in many modern works.
