    Sunny Art Studio is very proud to collaborate with the City of Westminster Charing Cross Library to provide our new Life Drawing classes, starting on April 16th. We will be based in the heart of London’s West End; only minutes walk from Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square and behind London’s National Art Gallery and the Portrait Gallery! Our Saturday and Sunday evening Life Drawing classes will be based in our studio in Camberwell, only 5 minutes walk from Camberwell College of Art.

    Life Drawing Course Description:

    We will explore different aspects of drawing the human figure, eg. anatomy (skeleton shape, and the form of muscles under the skin), portraiture, hands, feet, movement etc. There will be varying pose times, and different themes, depending on the particular class. We will also use different drawing mediums for different courses, eg, graphite, charcoal and pastels.

    Course Content:
    1. Line drawing and studying perspective and proportion of the human body
    2.differentiating tones and learning to shade accurately
    3. An overview of human anatomy in relation to life drawing
    4.Studying the human face
    5.Studying the human hand
    6.Studying the human foot
    7.Introducing movement
    8.Varying speed poses
    9.Perfecting the female model
    10. Perfecting the male model

    Who will be modeling?

    We will have both male and female models who are experienced life-drawing models. We will have both nude and clothed models, depending on the course content for that particular day.

    Who is this course suitable for?

    The course is open to students of all abilities who wish to excel in their life-drawing abilities. It will be particularly useful for students who wish to create an excellent portfolio to apply to an art college. It is also essential for anyone wishing to pursue art as a career.

    What will you achieve from completing a course of Life Drawing?
    You will become highly proficient in drawing the human figure, with charcoal, graphite or pastels. Your observational skills will improve dramatically, and you will be able to accurately record different poses in a shorter space of time. You will also have produced several high quality drawings to add to your art collection!
